The Hang Seng Index dropped 0.22 percent to 20,562.94. The Hong Kong China Enterprises Index lost 0.42 percent to 7,077.09.
Tech giants listed in Hong Kong dropped 2 percent, with index heavyweights Alibaba, Tencent and Meituan down between 2 percent and 3 percent.
