Hong Kong shares closed lower on Monday. The Hang Seng index fell 1.9 percent to 22,080.52, while the China Enterprises Index lost 2.1 percent to 7,608.80 points.

Tech giants listed in Hong Kong lost 3.8 percent, after jumping 5.4 percent in the previous session.

Food delivery giant Meituan declined 3.7 percent, while e-commerce giant Alibaba Group tumbled 5.4 percent.

Mainland developers trading in Hong Kong ended up 1.6 percent.
