HONG KONG – MTR services along the East Rail Line were disrupted early Sunday afternoon after a man reportedly fell on the tracks in Tai Wo.

Services between Tai Po Market Station and Fanling Station were affected after the incident around 12:20 pm, while there were minor train delays between Admiralty and Tai Po Market stations and between Fanling and Lok Ma Chau stations.

The MTR reported that normal train services resumed at 1:13 pm

“Train service on the East Rail Line was disrupted this afternoon because of a person on the track at Tai Wo Station,” the MTR said in a service update. 

Local media reported that the man felt dizzy and fell on the tracks at Tai Wo Station before being brought to the hospital.

The MTR later reported that normal train services resumed at 1:13 pm.

"The service was affected between 12:20 pm and 1:13 pm. Thank you for your patience and understanding," it added.
