HONG KONG – Hong Kong wheelchair fencer Yu Chui-yee failed to secure a spot in the semifinals of the women's individual epée at the Tokyo Paralympics on Thursday.
The 37-year-old Yu was defeated 11-15 by Rong Jing of China.
Earlier in the day, Yu had beaten Nataliia Mandryk of Ukraine 15-10 in the round of 16 to advance to the quarterfinals.
Fellow fencer Justine Charissa Ng lost to Hungary's Zsuzsanna Krajnyak 12-15 in the round of 16.
