Shenzhen on Thursday added 300 daily places in quarantine hotels to its quota for incoming visitors arriving via Shenzhen Bay Port, bringing the total to 2,800 places each day that are up for grabs, in anticipation of a possible surge in traffic surge in the run up to Lunar New Year.

This latest move is additional to the increase in the number of quarantine hotel places by 500 announced last week.

Lee added that the Hong Kong government will fully cooperate with the pandemic prevention measures of the Guangdong and Shenzhen governments
