HONG KONG – Secretary for Security Chris Tang Ping-keung on Monday appealed to staff members in the Security Bureau and disciplined services departments to cast their votes in the 2021 Legislative Council General Election on December 19.

The heads of six disciplined services departments under the bureau also reminded their staff members to vote.

In an email, Tang noted that this is the first LegCo election after the reform of the electoral system and the implementation of “patriots administering Hong Kong”. He said members of the public expect the new council to function effectively and serve diligently for the good of the people.

Tang called onthe staff members to encourage their families and friends to elect representatives in the LegCo who will lay a solid foundation for the implementation of “patriots administering Hong Kong”.

He added that the bureau and its disciplined services departments are prepared to ensure the election will be conducted in a safe and orderly manner without any disturbance.
