HONG KONG – Hongkong Post announced Tuesday that an online booking service will be launched next week to assist people in need of services including the handling of non-local vaccination record.

The online booking service will also cover the provision of service regarding the handling of Provisional Vaccine Pass, and non-local recovery record at designated post offices.

Since the start of a mass inoculation program in February last year, about 6.66 million people, or 91.5 percent of the eligible population in Hong Kong, have taken at least one shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, while over 6.22 million, or 85.5 percent of the eligible population, have taken two doses.

As of Tuesday, the number of people in Hong Kong who have taken their third booster dose surpassed 3.35 million, or 49.5 percent of the eligible population in Hong Kong.

On Tuesday, Hong Kong registered 138 new COVID-19 cases by nucleic acid tests, and 135 additional cases through self-reported rapid antigen tests, official data showed.
