Winner of the chief executive election on May 8, Lee will be sworn in as the sixth-term chief executive on July 1 as the city marks the 25th anniversary of its return to the motherland.

Lee said he proposed putting together a team that shares the same beliefs and is good at execution in the hope of uniting the city.

Lee said the proposed names, which come from a wide range of backgrounds, include incumbent government officials, professionals, and some who are familiar with district works.

They were put on the list based on considerations that include whether they have rich expertise and experience in relevant fields, their executive capabilities, and whether their beliefs in governance are consistent with his, Lee explained.

Lee said the central government envisioned the new-term government achieving good and effective governance, and solving issues that have long concerned the society.

Following that aspiration, Lee said he proposed putting together a team that shares the same beliefs and is good at execution in the hope of uniting the city.
