Apart from the infant from Serbia, all patients have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the CHP said.

In the past 14 days, a total of 38 COVID-19 cases have been reported, all of them imported.

The CHP said it is also investigating an overseas case of COVID-19 involving a 14-year-old teenage girl.

She tested negative in Hong Kong on Sept 5 before traveling to the United Kingdom on flight CX251 three days later.

The CHP said it was notified by the UK health authorities on Sept 20 that her specimen collected in the UK on Sept 10 tested positive. She remained asymptomatic.

She received two doses of the BioNTech vaccine on July 29 and Aug 21 in Hong Kong, the CHP said, adding that it is following up on the case with the UK health authorities.

The CHP said Block 1 of Grand Garden in Repulse Bay – the building where she resided in Hong Kong – was included in a compulsory testing notice on Friday as a prudent measure.

“Specified persons who were present at the relevant venue at specified periods need to undergo compulsory testing on or before the specified date,” the CHP said.

According to the Hospital Authority, a total of 37 COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalized in seven public hospitals and the North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Centre. All of them are in stable condition.
