HONG KONG – Hong Kong stocks closed higher on Wednesday.
The Hang Seng Index ended higher on Wednesday, up 3.22 percent to close at 20,793.11 points. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 3.39 percent to end at 7,065.53 points.
The Hang Seng Mainland Properties Index climbed up to 7 percent, to its highest since Dec 9.
The Hang Seng Tech Index increased 4.58 percent to close at 4,427.17 points. Alibaba Group jumped as much as 8.7 percent, while Tencent rose 4.6 percent.
