Hong Kong stocks ended lower on Wednesday, ahead of the outcome of the US Federal Reserve’s policy meeting later in the day.

The Fed’s announcement is due at 1800 GMT and the US central bank is widely anticipated to raise interest rates by another 75 basis points to combat inflation. Investors are also eyeing any further comments on monetary tightening.

The Hang Seng Index fell 1.13 percent to 20,670.04, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index lost 1.3 percent to 7,091.47.
