HONG KONG – Hong Kong reported two new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, including an untraceable infection, pushing the city’s tally of confirmed cases to 11,832.

In a statement issued on Sunday afternoon, the Centre for Health Protection said the local case of unknown origin involved a 39-year-old domestic worker who had two addresses: Block B, Bell House, 525-543 Nathan Road, Yau Ma Tei and Block B, Earl Gardens, 1 Earl Street, Kowloon Tong.

“She underwent testing at a Community Testing Centre in Yau Ma Tei on May 21 and tested positive,” the CHP said, adding that the patient showed no symptoms of the coronavirus.

The other case was an imported infection involving a 20-year-old man who came from the United States, the CHP said. 

It added that a total of 25 cases were reported from May 9 to 22, including four local cases, one of which was untraceable.

A total of 37 confirmed patients were being treated as of Sunday in 14 public hospitals and the North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Centre, including two patients in critical condition and one in serious condition, according to the Hospital Authority.
