HONG KONG – A Hong Kong permanent resident was sentenced to life in prison for espionage in the Chinese mainland on Monday.
John Leung Shing-wan, 78 and a US passport holder, was sentenced to jail by the Intermediate People’s Court in East China's Suzhou city, local media reported.
He was arrested on April 15 two years ago and received his sentenced on Monday, the reports added.
