HONG KONG – Hong Kong reported no new COVID-19 case on Sunday as the city’s infection tally stood at 12,226.

In a statement, the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health said a total of 69 cases have been reported in the past 14 days, all of them imported.

Meanwhile, the CHP said it has received an update from the Australian health authorities that one Australia confirmed case which was reported to Hong Kong has been re-tested negative.

The case was announced by the CHP on Oct 1 and involved a 55-year-old man. The cargo flight crew member lives at Block 3 of Monterey Cove, Phase 1 at Caribbean Coast in Tung Chung.

“As the case is not being classified as a case of COVID-19 infection, the relevant close contacts have been released from the quarantine center,” the CHP said.
