HONG KONG – Hong Kong's stock market ended higher on Friday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 0.5 percent to close at 20,049.31 points.
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 1.18 percent to end at 6,797.75 points, while the Hang Seng Tech Index gained 1.03 percent to close at 3,895.53 points and the Hang Seng Mainland Properties Index rose 3 percent to 2,041.76.
Tech giants listed in Hong Kong advanced 1 percent, with Alibaba Group Holding Ltd up 1.2 percent after Bloomberg News reported that the e-commerce's international online shopping unit is exploring a US listing.
