HONG KONG – The Hong Kong government said it had detected three COVID-19 infections as it completed a compulsory testing exercise in a restricted area in Kwun Tong on Wednesday.

The government said it also found two indeterminate cases in the restricted area that was set up in Ping Wah House, Lok Wah North Estate, Kwun Tong, where 1,001 people were tested for the virus.

Government staff visited around 394 households and 32 of them did not answer the door. The government reminded them to undergo nucleic acid tests as soon as possible 

The government said it had provided food packs for residents during the exercise, which ended at around 10:00 am Wednesday.

Anti-pandemic proprietary Chinese medicines supplied by the central government and rapid test kits were also distributed to residents to help them in the fight against the virus, it added.
